Hard Disks
Hard disks are most common media on which we perform data recovery. Whilst disk costs continue to decrease and capacities increase, we are seeing that their reliability has remained more static.

All drives have a natural life span or a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF). I.e. even the manufacturer predicts they WILL fail eventually.
Failures that are attributable to the drive itself can include a head crash, servo mechanism failure, motor seizure, firmware corruption or a component failure on the circuit board. Where the recovery process requires that the drive be opened for inspection and repair, this should be performed by a data recovery specialist with clean room facilities.

We charge nothing for analysing your disk failure and there is never any obligation to proceed with the recovery.

If you would like to have a discussion before sending your media you can contact us anytime.
