Smart Media, Compact Flash and Memory Sticks
The storage of data on smart media is similar in structure to a normal hard drive in that it consists of a Master Boot Record (MBR), a boot sector, a FAT table and a data area. Therefore smart media can suffer some of the same problems that hard drives experience: corrupt FAT tables, file corruptions, bad sectors. In addition smart media can have their own problems relating to cameras attempting to write past the end of the media, difficulties switching between FAT-12 and FAT-16 and not recognising non-photo directories.

We are able to help you get your pictures back. Please contact us for further details. If sending you media to us, please note we do not require the camera.
